Youth Program: CCU Kids CAFE

The CCU Kids CAFE is a program for youth 17 and under that teaches the value and benefits of saving, community involvement, education and fitness!
Serving up community involvement, active lifestyle, financial savings, education enrichment

This stamp card program serves as an introduction to CCU and the Credit Union Difference. Each stamp card completed earns a participation reward and serves as an entry into grand prize drawings that are held twice yearly.

Stamp cards will be available at each CCU location. At least two Financial Wellness stamps are required per stamp card to be eligible for prizes. There are no other requirements on types of stamps to complete a card. Youth participants must be present at a credit union office for all Financial Wellness and Educational Enrichment stamps, and the participant must be present for all prize redemptions.

How do you earn stamps? There are four ways:
  • Community Involvement: Being involved in the community is positive, particularly at a young age. You can earn a community stamp by completing at least 30 minutes of volunteering. Options include but are not limited to food pantry, animal shelter or highway cleanup.
  • Active Lifestyle: Get out there and enjoy some exercise! Earn a stamp by completing at least one hour of physical activity. Options include sports practices or games, run/walks, going to the gym, bike riding or hiking.
  • Financial Wellness: It's never too early to start saving money. You can earn a financial stamp by opening an account at CCU if you aren't already a member, open a new account like a savings account or certificate or a deposit of at least $5.
  • Educational Enrichment: Always keep learning and put a focus on education. To earn a stamp in this category, you can show us your report card, progress report, a Student of the Month honor, your Junior Achievement certificate or other educational honors you receive.
Only CCU employees can stamp and date completed squares for the Financial Wellness and Educational Enrichment categories. Parents/guardians and community members may complete Community Involvement and Active Lifestyle squares by signing, dating and providing a one-word description of the activity the youth completed. There is a maximum of one stamp per category per day.
